I don't know about you guys, but when I saw that look on his face, it wasn't just a relieved "WE WON" but a "I redeemed myself for taking that three pointer and totally being off the mark after getting a new 24 shot with 1 minute left in the game". And I just HAD to smile and sing this song by Parry Gripp!
Kelsey & I went to Disneyland for TWO days together! We had planned on going for four days, but found that not only did we ride every ride we wanted to in the first day, but we also had an excess amount of time.
We had an amazing time with just the two of us there! We saw the Aladdin show TWICE on Tuesday & both times it was fabulous.

Not exactly the first Thanksgiving of college I had hoped for. It started out fairly well; we left after taking our psychology test on Friday morning and got to Aubre's house just as she got off work. We went up to Salk Lake City and went to hear the Mormon Tabernacle choir sing [though the never did sing....] and then went to CPK for dinner.
On Saturday we went and saw New Moon, where a fight broke out because of a group of 15 people crowding. The rest of the week went by fairly quickly after that. Wednesday approached at a glacial pace it seemed at times, but it arrived and found us with a car packed to the brim. We were on the road, lunches and snacks packed and iPod full of music; and then it happened. Aubre's car wouldn't shift and we were apparently going 100 mph, though we were behind traffic. An hour into the drive we turned around and went back to Provo to go take Bubbles in; luckily they had cable, because we got to watch our favorite comedy: Reba.
After an hour we were allowed to go back on the road, but the car was still being strange; so after many tears and upsetting remarks we turned back and unpacked the car to stay at Aubre's house. We went to Costco that night and bought a big pumpkin pie and decided that, since Thanksgiving couldn't be spent the traditional way, we wouldn't celebrate it at all. We walked past the laptop section and then turned around and wrote 'Merry Christmas' on all the laptops for everyone to see.

Eighteen years later and our lives are defined by a two our period of flaunt-ly walking and waiting in an enormously long assembly line for diplomas that are empty. Then comes the cap throwing [and loosing] and then the real diplomas, which you have to wait in another line for. Boy oh boy, isn't life grand?
Pre-party was fabulous, thank you to everyone who came! Time FLEW before the graduation; we arrived at 6 with everyone else. However, unlike everyone else Kelsey and I actually followed the rules and didn't bring cell phones OR chapstick with us; yes, by the end of the night I was dying. We waited in the gym for an hour and a half and then finally walked out to the stadium where we held the ceremony. The whole ceremony went pretty fast, compared to earlier that day, and it was breezy and cool. I enjoyed sitting in the front line with Lauren and Kelsey. After the ceremony we took pictures, along with everyone else, and then waited in the back parking lot for about a half hour until we could leave. After that we opened gifts and found out that Blockbuster had changed their hours earlier that week; no movie for us = SADNESS. We ended up going to a friends house for a party and then calling it a night.
We had our post-graduation party the next day: Bought Coke Zeros, Candies, Popcorn and rented Made of Honor. CUTE MOVIE!
18th birthday
Posted by Courtney at 8:23 PM | Labels: eighteenth birthday 18th Tuesday, March 3, 2009And then came the party. I was sort of surprised at all the people who came, cause none of them had r.s.v.ped. But the ones that had r.s.v.ped never showed up...ANYWAYS, the party was fun. We played Sonic on the Wii and then a few of us playing a chinese game of ping-pong. Lol. That was difficult, especially since it was so windy outside. After that we danced in the backyard for a while [it was seriously such a nice day!] and then we played Skittles and Spoons. WOW, skittles was CRAZY! And, surprisingly, we played about eight games before we ran out of skittles. Hahaha. And then we played spoons, which was very dangerous. Word of advise: don't play with thirty teenagers. Whenever a spoon would be snatched the rest would scream and seriously LAUNCH into the middle of the room to get a spoon. Hahaha, I just watched, which in my opinion was so much better than playing.
After that we had cake [confetti cake! yum!] and then opened presents. Debra's present was hilarious. It was HUGE, well, the box was at least. There was a card inside a box inside a box inside a box inside a box inside a box. Get it? Hahaha. After that we all just sat around talking, most of the gang didn't leave until 10:30. And ROSE made everyone cry because she kept telling me and Kelsey not to leave for college next year. Even macho man Cory cried, that was funny.
All in all, I think it was our favorite birthday yet. Everyone was so nice to us and we pretty much dragged our birthday on all week [Wednesday with grandparents, Friday with parents, Saturday with friends, Sunday with family]. Oh, even my statistics teacher wished me a happy birthday, IN THE FRONT OF THE CLASS; but that's sort of expected, you'd know what I meant if you'd met her.
